House Made Jewelweed Salve

from $10.00

Jewelweed grows in the wet ditches and creek banks all over East Tennessee, usually within arm's reach of the poison ivy it's known for soothing. I harvest it in summer, infuse it slow in jojoba oil, and set it with pure beeswax. Nothing else in the jar.

Keep it on hand for the usual summer complaints. Poison ivy, stinging nettle, chigger and mosquito bites, and skin that got too much sun and too little shade. Jojoba sinks in instead of sitting greasy on top, and the beeswax holds it where you put it, so it works on ankles and wrists where a liquid would just run off.

Available in 1 oz or 2 oz amber glass jars. Amber keeps the light out and the salve good longer. The 1 oz fits a pocket or a glovebox. The 2 oz lives on the shelf by the back door where you'll actually use it.

Ingredients: jewelweed infused jojoba oil, pure beeswax.

For external use only. Not intended to diagnose or treat any condition.
