A cicada carved from labradorite, copper electroformed and set on a 22" soldered copper chain. The carving catches the stone's flash well. Depending on the light, you'll see greens, golds, blues. Measures approximately 1.75" x 0.75".
Labradorite has been prized since its discovery in Labrador, Canada in 1770. It's associated with clearing out what no longer serves you and making space for what's next. The cicada has its own version of that story. Years underground, then emergence. The pairing isn't accidental.
